Ronald A. Johnson, 85 of Center Township passed away Saturday afternoon, February 2, 2019 at his home.Born December 9, 1933, he was a son of the late Thomas G. and Celeste E. (Dugan) Johnson.Following graduation from Monaca High School, Ron enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps and honorary served from 1955 until 1959 followed by four additional years in the U S Maine Corps Reserves. In 1991, he retired from ARCO Chemical Company’s Beaver Valley Plant as a supervisor with 31 years of employment.He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kathleen Hall Johnson. He is also survived by his four loving children and their spouses: Randall Johnson, David (Linda) Johnson, Rachel (Bradley) Cellier and Heather Redmond (Matthew Malohn) and ten loving grandchildren, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Sam and Donna Aven.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Robert, a sister, Jenny, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Donald and Ethel Hall.Friends will be received on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 4 – 7 P.M. in Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am. in the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 819 Washington Avenue, Monaca with the Reverend Angela Smith, officiating.
