Rose M. Trella, 81, of Monaca, passed away Sunday morning, August 19, 2012, at Elmcroft of Chippewa.
Born April 4, 1931, and raised in West Mayfield, Rose was a daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Janecek) Zobek. She graduated from Beaver Falls High School, Class of 1949. Rose was a member and a former recording secretary of the Monaca Polish National Alliance where she met the love of her life, Edward J. ?Weaser? Trella. The couple was united in marriage on October 23, 1971 and made their home in Monaca. Rose had formerly been employed in the office at Standard Steel Speciality and was later a floral designer at Johnson?s Flowers, Monaca, where she worked until the flower shop closed. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca, and a member of the parish?s Christian Mothers. In her leisure time Rose enjoyed playing cards and travelling on bus trips.
She leaves a special cousin, Jerry Zalmanek and his wife, Beryl, of Chippewa Twp. and many nieces and nephews.
Rose?s beloved husband passed away on May 8, 2001.Rose was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Belczyk and her husband, John and a nephew, Johnny Belczyk
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, where parting prayers will be offered Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
