Rose Marie (Turkovich) Mercadante, 71 of Baden, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Heritage Valley, Sewickley.

Rose Marie was the daughter of the late Francis and Dorothy (Enders) Turkovich. A ’67 graduate of Monaca High School, she stayed connected to her classmates all her life. She retired from Pediatric Alliance, Inc., where she worked as a Practice Manager. She also managed several other medical practices throughout her career.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald D. Mercadante on July 6, 2020, her stepson John Mercadante, and her step granddaughter, Meghan Mercadante.

Rose Marie will be sadly missed by her children, Stephen (Tina) Petterson and Heather (Ted) Dengel, her step children, Gary (Sharlene) Mercadante, Ron P. Mercadante, and Lisa Danylo, her grandchildren, Zachary, Isaiah, Severin, and Finnian, her step grandchildren, Jenna (Patrick), Colleen, Stephanie, Madison, Chuck, and Tori, her two sisters, Beverly (late George) Anderson and Diane (Dr. Robert) Knapp, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews and “the best dog”, Romeo. She will also be missed by numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in the Mercadante family and the many dear friends from all aspects of her life who she cared about so deeply.

Rose leaves behind a legacy of statistically impossible casino winnings and vast medical advice. All that knew her has a story to tell and a good laugh to remember her by. She was generous, caring, and thought nothing of talking to everyone much to the chagrin of her family. “You’ll miss me when I’m gone.” – and now we do.

Per her wishes there will be no viewing or service.

There are no words to express how much you will be missed. You were my best friend and we were always there for each other even though we were miles apart. I will always remember the good times we had growing up especially our healthy lunches of homemade French fries you always made for us! Walking all over Monaca and downtown, CYO cheerleaders, getting into trouble (good kind), and so much more. I loved you as a sister. Our deepest sympathy to the family. We are saddened and shocked to learn of Rose's passing. We will truly miss her and our back yard conversations. We still miss Ron, but find comfort in knowing she is now with him. May God comfort and bless her family.

Well...where do i begin...i met rose thru wendys..she was a customer that woukd come in everyday for her salad...she woukd not get one unless i told her i made them...lol...we just became great friends and i woukd go over to her place of work to see her as well...i would buy her b.d. gifts and she as well...also we exchanged christmas gifts as well...i will truly miss seeing her smiling face and when i make salads too...lol...Rose save me a front row seat up there....luv u rooter!!!!💓💓💓💓💓

So sorry for your family's loss

Rose was such a special friend to me. She cared so much about my family. We shared our 1st trip in 1967 to Geneva on the Lake to our last trip to the Rivers and our famous Thrift Stores. What am I gonna do without you ☹️ We text and talked every day. I pray you are loved and happy now with Ron. You loved each other so much. Take care Rose, till we meet again 🙏❤️

RIP. Rose always made one laugh. Got together with her and MHS grads of 67 a few times the past several years and I couldn’t get over that she still had that crazy humor!

Steve - I only met your mother one time and that was at Ron’s celebration of life which I attended with Neil - she was very kind to me and I instantly liked her - I wish I would have gotten to know her. She seemed like a class act - Neil and I are deeply sorry for your loss. You have our sincerest sympathy
