Dear Cousins,We are so very saddened to not be with you all right now. Whenever I think of any of you Pittsburghers side of the family, I smile. Especially thinking of both your mom and dad. Aunt Sue is on our Christmas tree every year (the lovely ornament photo) and now I think of long ago Uncle Gus memories of whacking the bull frogs in Jersey with a 2x4. But more recently, when John and I were in Pittsburgh visiting his family, we were warmly welcomed by your Dad and enjoyed a beer in the bar! He will be missed but wonderful memories will live on. Love to you all, Christine and John Thomas

Billy, Debbie and Joe, please accept our most heartfelt condolences. Trinh and I are fortunate to have had such a great fellow grandparent of our wonderful grandchildren and will always remember Gus fondly. He was unfailingly upbeat with a smile that was contagious......just a pleasure to be around. I'm so glad to have known him and he will always have a prominent place in our memories. Gone but never forgotten. RIP Gus.

Where to begin... Uncle Roy, as I always thought of him... Thank you for being a part of so many of my great childhood memories. All those summers I would come to Mimi and Pappap's, I always enjoyed going to Uncle Roy's and hanging out. He always had a smile on his face and exciting stories. Some of the best food I ever had, he would pull a few ears of corn out of the garden and throw them right on the grill... it was soooo good I can still taste it now. All those 4th of July picnics out at Ruth and John's, I remember playing many a game of horseshoes with Uncle Roy. And that blue van, I will always think of Uncle Roy when I see a van like that. I wish I could be there in body to say goodbye, but I am there in spirit. Love to all!

Gus you will always be remembered as someone who said hello with broad smile and warm handshake. I am thankful for knowing you and having you as a dear brother-in-law for over fifty years! Words fail me now but your memory will always last I will never forget how you taught me the proper way to hunt for bull frogs. “Shine the flashlight in their eyes, then whack’m with the club” you would tell me. So many wonderful memories of years gone by. So go now and join Sue. We will see you later....Rest In Peace brother.

I am SO grateful I got to see Gus little over a week ago, at the Barbershop Christmas performance. As always, he greeted me with a kind smile and a big hug. He was such a good friend to my father, who passed earlier this year. It comforts me to think of them palling around together again, like old times. My heartfelt condolences to the family. May God bless you all, and RIP Gus. The thought of you will always bring me joy.
