Sara Mae Hurley

Sara Mae Hurley, 88, formerly  of Center Township and later of Industry, was reunited with her beloved husband, Richard on Sunday, February 18, 2018.Born on July 5, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Thelma (Lantz) Jones.  On November 8, 1947, Sara married the love of her life, Richard W. Hurley who passed away  on February 19,  2014.  The couple were inseparable and truly lived for each other.  A homemaker for most of her life, Sara worked a few years in the kitchen at the former Beaver County Geriatric Center.Sara was a lady of small statute and simple desires who greatly touched many people during her life. Sara leaves two children; Richard (Mary Ellen) Hurley of Laughlin, Nevada and Gregory (Patti) Hurley of Monaca, nine grandchildren; Rich, Christine, Cheryl, Jack, Mike, Terry, Sarah, Amy & Sam, 18 great grandchildren, two daughter in laws, Shirley and Nancy Hurley.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, infant daughter, Beverly in 1953, two sons; Terry Hurley in 1998, Michael Hurley in 1990, a sister, Betty Turley and a brother, Walter ‘Sonny’ Jones.Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca followed by a funeral service on Wednesday at 10:00 AM with  Rev.
