Sava Mellovich, 68, formerly of Aliquippa and later of Rochester, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 27, 2014.Born April 28, 1946, in Pueblo, Colo., she was a daughter of the late George and Christine (Marqurite) Mellovich. Her childhood years were spent in Aliquippa. A longtime member of Chapel Presbyterian Church PCA, Brighton Township, she had taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for a number of years. She was a personal cheerleader to many; and without even trying, she could be the life of the party. Sava loved watching Madea movies and always felt she had an inner Madea. Later in life she returned to school at Beaver Falls Beauty Academy and earned a degree in cosmetology. Sava retired from Beaver Super in 2008.She leaves a son, Jerry Mellovich and his wife, Carol, of Kennedy Township; her grandchildren whom she adored Devon Mellovich; Anastasia Mellovich, and Brittany and Chelsea Olszanski; two brothers, Serbeshton ‘Bushy’ (Kathy) Mellovich, of Darlington and Chris Mellovich of Ambridge; two sisters, Anna Mellovich of Polk, and Millicent (Donald) Watkins in Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Betty Mellovich who was also her best friend and Elena Mellovich of Everett, Washington; three cherished nieces, Lori (Bob) Bollen, Leslie Mellovich and Angie Watkins; two nephews, Donald Watkins, Jr. and Alexi Mellovich; and two great-nephews, Zachariah and Levi Bollen.In addition to her parents, Sava was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Banks, two brothers, Nick and Rade ‘Rudy’ Mellovich and a great-nephew, Samuel Bollen. She was also preceded in death by her special friends, Judy Blackledge, John and Clara Fehir whom she thought of as a second mom and dad, and Bob Fehir whom she credited for leading her to Christ.Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Sava on Tuesday, November 11th, at 5:00 p.m. at Chapel Presbyterian Church PCA, 625 Barclay Hill Road, Beaver. Her pastor, Rev.
