Shirley E. Farrow, 86 of Potter Township, passed away peacefully at the Good Samaritan Hospice on Thursday, July 5, 2018.Shirley was born on June 9, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA., a daughter of the late Elmer and Edna Maier.  She and her husband, Carl were the owners of New Image Transport Incorporated and former owners of the Farrow’s Restaurant & Lounge, Center Township.  Shirley was a Past Matron of Naomi Chapter OES # 55 of Monaca, PA and a member of the Beaver Valley Shrine #6 also of Monaca.She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Edward and Philip Schwab.Surviving are her beloved husband Carl E. Farrow, Sr. and three very special step-children; Linda and her husband Edwin Sims of Aliquippa, Carol and her husband Edward Pontis of Ooltewah, TN, and Carl Farrow, Jr. and his wife Diane of Potter Township, and two brothers; Ronald and his wife Inez Maier of Williamsburg, New Mexico and James and his wife Sue Maier of Ocala, Florida.Shirley had six grandchildren whom she loved so much:  Brandon (Jess) Pontis, Dustin Pontis, Kimberly Pontis, Lindsay (Andrew) Michael, Leah (Blake) Meehan, and Carl (Lori) Farrow III.  She had twelve great grandchildren; Maddison, Mason, Sidney, Gavin, and Brody Pontis, Kaylin and Trent Michael, Grant, Gabriel and Lydia Meehan, Jordy and Jackson Farrow.A family private viewing and services was held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for Shirley’s excellent and kind care while she was there.Contributions  may be made in Shirley’s memory, if desired to Good Samaritan Hospice , c/o CLM Foundation, 134 Marwood Rd., Cabot, PA. 16023.     To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
