Shirley J. Boyer, 75 of Monaca passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2023, at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley, Beaver. She was known for her warm spirit and her unwavering devotion to her family. Born to the late Mark and Margaret (Fabrizzi) West, Shirley grew up in a tight-knit community of Aliquippa. She married the love of her life, Harold S. ‘Butch’ Boyer, on September 7, 1968, at St. Titus Catholic Church, Aliquippa. Together, they raised three children: Amy (Mark) Maier, the late Kim Kron, and Mark (Heather) Boyer. Butch preceded her in death on September 28, 2008.Shirley was a woman of many talents. In her early years, she worked as a hairdresser, bringing joy to her clients with her skilled hands and warm conversation. She later transitioned into an administrative assistant role at Automated Health Services, where she served for over 20 years. A woman of varied interests, she loved shopping, often spending hours browsing through stores, finding joy in each unique find. She also enjoyed playing BINGO, a pastime that brought her much excitement and joy. Shirley had a special place in her heart for cats. Shirley was also a former member of the Cruzin Few Car Club, where she enjoyed the camaraderie and shared interest with fellow car enthusiasts. Her involvement in the club brought her much pleasure and allowed her to form many lasting friendships. Shirley was a mother in law of David Kron and beloved grandmother to nine grandchildren: John and Brandon Leigh, Stacey, Tracie, Andrea and Mark Boyer, Michael, Kayla, and Tyler Kron. Her love for her grandchildren was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Friends will be received on Thursday, October 12th from 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm at SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where a blessing service will follow at 7 pm.
