Shirley L. (Scott) McKinney, 60, of Ohioville, is now resting in peace. Her passing occurred on Monday, April 8, 2013.
Born December 1, 1952, in Bellevue, she was a daughter of the late Freeman and Beulah (Concelman) Scott. Shirley was an avid pool player and a member of the A.P.A. She loved camping and especially her grandchildren and family.
In addition to her parents Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Fredric McKinney, and two brothers, Charles and Robert Scott.
She leaves her fiancé, Michael Gnarra; three children, Brian (Jordan) McKinney, Patricia (Larry) Higley and Wendi (Bruce) Thompson; a step-daughter, Kate (Morris) Buck; 12 grandchildren, Jessica (Nick) West, Jason (Stephanie) Wilfong, Chelsie Siefer, Bethanne (Rob) Krepps, Larry (Melissa) Higley, Sierra Clifford, Mallory and Bryce McKinney, Alyssa and Aaron Thompson and Trevor and Rainey Buck; four great-grandchildren, Noel and Kristien West, McCartney Summerville and an expected great-granddaughter, Izzy Higley. Also surviving are a sister, Martha (Ralph) Batykefer, a sister-in-law, Lois Scott and countless nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, and Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 11 a.m. Fr. Scott Homer, Pastor of Trinity Church, Beaver.
The family has requested memorial donations be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation, 1133 S. Braddock Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15218.
