My cousin, Shirley, and I spent a lot of time together during the summers when we were growing up. There was no lack of mischief between us and we thought of many creative ways to get into trouble! I have always admired Shirley's courage and determination. As a kid, she was the one who took the risks and encouraged me to follow her. As an adult she faced adversity, particularly in her battle with cancer, with the same courage and determination. She taught me that fear will interfere with your ability to clearly see your goal and reach it. Thanks for all of the good times, Shirley! You never looked back and were never afraid to take a chance on life! Love, Kyle
