Stephen Plaskonos

June 20, 1927 - June 18, 2011

Stephen Plaskonos, 84 of Center Twp. passed away, Saturday afternoon, June 18, 2011 at Rochester Manor.
Born June 20, 1927 in W. Aliquippa, he was a son of the late Sam ?Semko? and Mary Pradjet Plaskonos.
Mr. Plaskonos was first employed with Colonna Steel in Monaca and later with LTV Steel Corp. in Aliquippa. His last employment was at B.V.P.S. #1 and #2 as a security guard.
His favorite past times were fishing and gardening.
He leaves his wife of 30 years, Shirley Kaiser Bokach Plaskonos and a son, John , both of Center Twp. A brother, George (Cecelia) Plaskonos of Monaca. Two brothers in law, Richard James (Nancy) Kaiser of Seymour, Tenn and Jerry ( Claudette) Kaiser of Cortland , OH Numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by three sisters: Anna, Mary and Sally Rose.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca.

i would like to express my condolences to shirley and john.i am sorry for your loss.

Uncle Steve was a friend to me as I was growing up. I fondly remember all the times he and I played 500 rum together and all the delicious buttered popcorn he would make for us. He offer a sense of refuge at gramma's when we had to get away from dad. He was a good kind hearted man. I wish I lived closer to home many times when I think about the family that still resides there. Sincerest condolences to all the loved ones he leaves behind from my wife Mary and me.
