Steven M. Koehler, 41 of Chippewa died Wednesday, March 29, 2023, a few days shy of his 42nd birthday..
He was the son of Patricia “”Patrock” Brown and husband Bruce Brown and Chester Koehler and wife, Joanne
Steven was the Director of Projects and Operations for Midstream Engineering, giving 100 % to his company.
Steven grew up in Brighton Township and was a graduate of Beaver Area High School, where he excelled in soccer and then in football, where #55 was the one to watch. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America. Also, as a child, he loved riding his dirt bike, then advanced to his present “toys” motorcycle and quad.
Steven loved the outdoors, enjoyed camping at the family campsite in Marienville, PA, white water rafting, snow skiing, riding quads and motorcycles. However, his greatest achievement was his family and he took every opportunity to share his love for the outdoors with his wife and children.
He met his wife, Lindsay Kovach at the local Dairy Queen in Beaver where they were both employees. They were together 25 years and married for 19 years since 2004.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Lindsay and children who were the light of his life, Grant, Blake, and Tenley. Also surviving are two step sisters: Melissa Reese and Emily Bowcock, two sisters-in-law, Erica Barrett and Larissa (Brad) Mason and a nephew, Connor, and many precious aunts and uncles, and his canine companion, Dusty, who accompanied the boys on their many camping trips.
Deceased are his maternal grandparents, Nick and Marie Patrock and paternal grandparents, Otto and Naomi Koehler.
Friends will be received on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 2-8 pm at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where services will be held on Tuesday, April 4 at 11:00 am with Rev. Chris Morgan officiating. Other arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family.
