Steven N. Cable, 72, of Monaca, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012, at Friendship Ridge, where he resided for the past year.
Born July 22, 1940, in Aliquippa, he was the only child of the late Arnold W. and Josephine Cable. Steve grew up in Aliquippa and proudly served in the US Army with Company C 538th Engineering Battalion. The majority of his life he served in law enforcement as a police officer for New Brighton, Center Twp. and Monaca. Later Steve was a heavy machinery equipment operator with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 66, Monroeville. Most recently Steve served as the Monaca Animal Control Officer for 12 years. In his leisure time he could be found hunting with his buddies, Gary McKenna of Hopewell Twp. and the late David McKenna. Steve also enjoyed golfing, playing several times a week after work.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara (Johnson) Cable and two sons, Steven and Scott, all of Monaca.
In accordance to his wishes, there will be no viewing or services.
