Terence R. ‘Terry’ Martinez, 84, of Center Township, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.Born in Aliquippa, on September 8, 1932, he was a son of the late Joaquin ‘Jesus’ and Julia Martinez. He was a retired millwright from LTV Steel and a retiree of Local Laborers Union #833. Next to his family, Terry’s passions included cars, woodworking, gardening, boating ad telling stories of his steel working days.Survivors include two sons, Charles Martinez and his wife, Pam, of Belvidere, NJ, and Scotty Martinez of Brighton Township; a daughter, Martha Myers and her husband, Bill, of Monaca; five grandchildren, Jake (Molly) Martinez, Sarah Martinez, Elizabeth Martinez, Danielle Martínez and William Myers; and four brothers, Stuart Martinez of Pittsburgh, John (Lola) Martinez of Riverview, FL, Joseph Martinez of Hopewell, and David Martinez of Williamsport, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and numerous cousins..In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Figley Martinez, and a sister, Joaquina (Chita) Blanchi.A memorial service celebrating Terry’s life will be held on Saturday, June 10th, at noon at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, with a luncheon to follow.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Terry’s memory to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001.Martha Myers would like to express a special thanks to Covington Skilled Nursing Facility, East Palestine, OH, for their extra special care and kindness to Terry during his three-year residency.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
