Theodore J. ‘Ted’ Woelfel, 66, of Center Township, passed away Monday, May 21, 2012, as a result of an injury suffered in February.
He was born August 14, 1945, in New Brighton, a son of the late Mary F. and Ralph Weiler of Center Township. He was a home improvement specialist by trade.
Ted served honorably in the United States Army in Vietnam and was very proud of that service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his cousins, David H. Folland, Thomas J. Billigen, Jack Brown and Lynn Brown; his uncles, Edward Billigen, Harold Folland and Jack Brown; and his aunts, Casma Billigen and Lilian Brown.
Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Robert W. and Adriana Woelfel, Center Township; nephews, Rob Woelfel, Green Tree; and Eric and Alyssa Woelfel, West Grove, Pa.; an aunt, Alma Folland, Vienna, Va.; cousins, Carol Ann and Bob Frank, Center Township; Mark and Shelly Folland, Olean, N.Y.; Christine and Sean Dorhercy, Vienna, Va.; Greg and Diane Billigen, in California; Ross Brown, Monaca, and Lori Brown, Beaver. Ted is also survived by his friend and fiancée, Kathy DeAngelo, of Monaca, as well as many, many close friends.
Ted’s life had great value and worth. We will remember him with love and esteem and his memory will be cherished.
Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, where a memorial service will be conducted Friday, May 25, at 11 a.m. Rev. Stephen F. Vesolich, Pastor of Trinity Community Church, Center Township, will officiate.
