Theresa Angeline Pelaia, a longtime Monaca resident, passed away, Monday February 15, 2010, in Friendship Ridge.
Born May 21, 1934, in Monaca, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Mary (Tuffie) Pelaia. Theresa was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca and Christian Mothers. She was previously employed as a department manager for the former GeeBee Department Store.
She leaves her step-mother, Elena Pelaia of Brighton Township; a sister, Margaret Sturm of Beaver Falls; a nephew, John Sturm and three cousins, Donald Pelaia and his wife, Nadia of Beaver Falls, Diane Bedison and her husband, John of Monaca and Tony DeSalle of Beaver Falls.
In addition to her parents Theresa was preceded in death by a nephew, Michael Sturm and a cousin, Ruth DeSalle.
A blessing service will be held on Saturday, February 20th, at 10:00 a.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca. Her pastor, Rev. Father John L. McKenna, will be the celebrant.
Private interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
