Theresa Arcadi Garuccio, 84, of Monaca, was reunited with her husband on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Her passing occurred due to heart failure.
Born August 8, 1927, in Italy, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Carmella Arcadi. A graduate of Ellwood City High School, Class of 1946, she was united in marriage on December 28, 1946, to Larry Garuccio, who preceded her in death on January 25, 2002. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca. Theresa liked to cook and sew, but she was most devoted to taking care of her family.
She will be sadly missed by her six children, Mary Jane Sobeski and her husband, John, of Cleveland, Ohio, Domenick Garuccio and his wife, Jackie, of New Martinsville, W. Va., Elizabeth Arnott and her husband, Frank, of Monaca, Frank Garuccio and his wife, Sharon, of New Brighton, Larry Garuccio and his wife, Debbie, of Monaca and Anthony Garuccio and his wife, JoAnn, of Center Twp.; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Catherine Lample of Ellwood City; a brother, Victor Arcadi in California and a brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Aldo and Barbara Garuccio, Mildred Garuccio and Virginia Purnell.
Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, where prayers will be offered Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca.
Entombment will follow in Holy Redeemer Catholic Cemetery, Ellwood City.
