Thomas G. ‘Spanky’ Dinsmore, 83 of Monaca was reunited with his beloved wife, Nancy on Sunday morning, February 13, 2022 while surrounded by his family.
A lifelong resident of Monaca, Spanky was a son of the late John and Pauline Dinsmore .
He and the former Nancy Darlene Miller were united in marriage on March 25, 1968. The couple raised three children: Stacey, Tammy and Thomas, Jr. ‘Spanky’.
Spanky was first employed as a pipefitter at J & L Steel Corp. and spent 50 + years employed as a cement mason with Union Local #526. He was a member of Monaca-Center Lodge #791 F & AM, First Presbyterian Church of Monaca and more recently attended Monacacrest Free Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #580 and the Monaca Sportsman’s Club and a founding member of Tall Timbers Hunting Club in Tionesta. He was an avid outdoorsman, he loved working in his back garage, woodworking, spending time at his camps in Tionesta and Connaquesnessing, photographing wildlife and was known to be a jokester. A veteran, he honorably served in the US Army’s 18th Airborne and the rifle team.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Stacey, Tammy (Rob) Dival and Thomas, Jr. His granddaughter, Jordan who was the love of his life. A nephew, John (Della) Dinsmore who he considered as a son and their daughter, Danielle. Two sisters in law, Melinda McCabe and Patricia Bartkowiak and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Buddy (dog) his ‘partner in crime’ and granddog, Bella, which the three were inseparable.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 3pm until 8 pm at the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where services will be held on Friday at 1 pm with Reverend Doug Rabe, officiating. Private interment will take place in Beaver Cemetery.
A Masonic Service will be held by order of the Worshipful Master on Thursday at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.Full military honors will be accorded on Friday at 1:40 pm by the Beaver County Special Unit at the funeral home
