Thora Fay Venditti Koop, 90, formerly Moon Township, PA, passed away Friday morning, June 5, 2015.Born March 30, 1925, in Hubbard, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Cheurbina Venditti. A woman of Italian descent, Thora was known for her award-winning polka dancing ability with her beloved, Louie. They travelled extensively following various polka bands and came to know a number of the musicians personally. She also had a fondness for accordion music. A fun-loving person who embraced life, everyone who knew her, came to love her. She even started her own ‘kitchen band’, Fay Koop and the Chicken Grinders, and entertained crowds with fun and laughterShe leaves a daughter, Penny Mayhew of Monaca, PA; an ‘adopted daughter’, Coquila Hess of Montour, PA; three grandchildren, Matthew Mayhew, Shalynn Jurcic and Tyler Milton; two great-grandchildren, Lydia and Roman Jurcic; her youngest sister, Nancy Sabella of Hubbard and a very special niece and nephew, Gloria and Leonard Mancel, in addition to numerous other nieces and nephews and a beloved friend, Pat Garnett.Along with her parents Thora was preceded in death by her daughter, Melynnie Fay Milton, and her beloved Louis Franz.Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 9th from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home, 407 West Liberty Street, Hubbard. Rev.
