Virginia Anne Marceau Penix, 69 of Beaver County, PA and who lived in Sarasota, FL for 40 years died May 14, 2013 at Heritage Valley Hospice with her children, grandchildren, and great grand children by her side.
Virginia was born on January 14, 1944 in Utica, N.Y., the daughter of Clara Ottman and John Marceau, She was a graduate of Whitesboro High School in the class of 1961. Virginia married three times and had three beautiful children. She is survived by her eldest son, William Mursch, and a daughter, Betsy Wood, both of Beaver County, PA and her youngest son, Sam Penix of New York, N.Y. Also by her grandchildren Jennifer Hughes, Rhianna Hughes, and Lindsay Wood and her great grandchildren Nathan, Gabby, Owen, and Amirah.
Ginny was a waitress and completely embraced the humble profession. To her customers, their favorite thing about their favorite restaurant was their waitress, Ginny. Fearless and friendly, she would sit and talk to anyone even on the stoops of Harlem while visiting her son, Sam. She worked tirelessly to support her children and though ?We ain?t got a barrel of money, maybe we?re ragged and funny. But we?re strolling along, singing our song, Side by Side!? We love you Mom- fly free.
Condolences may be sent to either her son, Sam Penix, 301 W. Broadway, N.Y., N.Y. 10013 or simpsonfuneralhome.com.
