Vivian J. Bozic, 80, of Hopewell Township, formerly of Monaca, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Heritage Valley Sewickley, surrounded by her loving family.
Born February 16, 1932, in Rochester, she was a daughter of the late John Petures and Catherine Gagliordony Petures. Vivian was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca and a retired employee of Penn State Beaver Campus. She loved to cook and spend time with her family.
In addition to her parents Vivian was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Bozic and two brothers and a sister, John Petures, Larry Mundall and Gloria Eder.
She is survived by her primary caregiver and loving daughter, Kathy Dodson of Hopewell; another daughter, Judy Cole of New Brighton; a special grandson, Frank E. (Pam) Dodson of Brighton Township, with whom she was very close; three great-grandchildren, Amanda Edmunds, Frank E. Dodson, Jr. and Savannah N. Dodson and a great-great-grandson, Ethan Robert. She also leaves a brother and sister-in-law, Franklin J. ?Bay? and Peg Petures and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Thursday ONLY, February 7th, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca. PLEASE NOTE: Parting prayers will be offered Saturday, February 9th, at 9:30 a.m. at Simpson?s, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Monaca. Rev. Fr. Michael Ruffalo will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
