Walter F. Duncan, 74, of Monaca, was reunited with his loved ones on Monday, March 19, 2012, at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born April 3, 1937, in Monaca, he was a son of the late Samuel and Ruth (Miller) Duncan. He was married to Janice (Stewart) Duncan, who preceded him in death on August 26, 1999. Walter enlisted in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He had been employed at J&L Steel, Aliquippa Works.
He is survived by five children, James Duncan of Jeffersonville, IN, Terri Duncan Carr of Rome, NY, Michael, Duncan of Seymour, IN, David ?Moose? (Diana) Duncan of Jeffersonville, IN and Kelli (James) Lutz, of Wampum, 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Eleanor Spagnoli of Daugherty Twp., Esther Duncan (William) Taylor of Beaver Falls, Thomas (Judy) Duncan of Aliquippa and James (Georgene) Duncan of Aliquippa, numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend, Barbara.
In addition to his wife and parents Walter was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Duncan, and a sister, Marianne Duncan Swogger.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until the time of service at 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Beaver County Cancer & Heart Association, 3582 Brodhead Road, Suite 201, Monaca, PA 15061.
