Werner Agner, 93, of Center Township, passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.
Werner was born in Germany on May 12, 1926. He was the son of the late Reinhold and Anna Agner. Werner came to the United States in 1949 and became the owner of Men’s Hairstyling in Monaca which he operated for 47 years until retiring in 1996. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also enjoyed spending time at his camp of 34 years at Belmar on the Allegheny River in Franklin, PA. Werner was a life member of the following clubs; Beaver Valley Yacht Club, Rochester Elks, Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club, and the NRA.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Ruth (Haeussler) Agner on December 11, 2009.
Werner is survived by his two nephews, Rolf Palmer and Family, and Friedrich Wollmershaeuser and Family, all of Germany, special friend and companion, Rose Nye, and close friends Jim (Amy) Egger and family, Paul (Robin) Reft, and Willy Mueller and the late Mike Hudak.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the Beaver Valley Yacht Club, 219 Front Street, New Brighton with Clarence Rossi officiating followed by a luncheon until 6:00 pm for all of his relatives, friends, and club members.
Memorial contributions may be made in Werner’s memory to Good Samaritan Hospice, 116 Browns Hill Road, Valencia, PA 16059.
