William J. Flint, Sr., 76, of Center Township, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 27, 2016, at his daughter, Beth Ann’s residence.Born September 24, 1939, in Monaca, he was a son of the late William Andrew and Anna (Champion) Flint. On July 3, 1959, he was united in marriage to Irene A. (Douds) Flint, who preceded him in death on May 13, 2015. Bill was the owner and operator of Capitol Collision Center in Monaca. He loved working on cars and riding motorcycles and enjoyed watching old western movies. A bass guitarist, Bill played for Country Dawn, a country band who performed in the local area.He will be sadly missed by his three children, Kelly Kochanowski and her husband, Patrick, of Raccoon Township, Jeff Flint and his wife, Yvonne, of East Palestine, Ohio, and Beth Ann Roncevich and her husband, Paul, of New Sewickley Township; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Flint, Jr., Andrew Flint, Benjamin Flint, Adam Kochanowski, Natalie Kochanowski, Jessica Coyle and Mia Roncevich; four great-grandchildren, Kaleek Lewis, Lydia Young and Nathaniel and Brook Kochanowski; two sisters, Mary Flint in North Carolina and Betty Mitchell of Center Township and two brothers, Phillip (Terry) Flint of Monaca and John (Betty) Flint of Center Township.In addition to his wife and parents, Bill was preceded in death by a son, William, Jr., on May 22, 2010.Friends will be received Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.
