William Milne III, a longtime Monaca resident passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 while under the care of Mother Theresa Hospice.
Bill was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed traveling to Canada, Alaska and the Florida Keys as his favorite destinations. Additionally, Bill had a keen interest in antique cars. He was a member of the Bucktail Sportsman Club, Aliquippa and the North Branch Presbyterian Church, Center Township. A 1957 graduate of Monaca High School, Bill was a retiree of J & L Steel Corporation’s, Aliquippa works with 32 years of employment.
He was the only child born to the late William Jr. and Margaret (Benson) Milne.
He leaves his wife of 64 years, Cathleen (Marcello) Milne to whom he was united in marriage on February 18, 1957. Three children: William (Deborah) Milne, IV in Florida, Michael (Phyllis) Milne of Brighton Township and Susan Milne of Hopewell Township. Four grandchildren: Stacy (Brian), Michael (Tiffany), William V and Logan. Four great grandchildren: Ethan, Ella, Geno and Maria Frances.
Visitation for family and close friends will be held on Friday, July 30th from 4 – 7 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where funeral services will be held at 7 pm. with his pastor, the Reverend Donald Snyder, officiating. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Mother Theresa Hospice, particularly to Gina and Rose for the compassionate care Bill received.
