William N. ‘Vic’ Vular, 95 a lifelong resident of Monaca, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.Born July 9, 1923, he was the son of the late Joseph and Frances (Culrick) Vular. United in marriage to Ann M. (Novoselac) Vular on September 6, 1947, the couple made their home in Monaca and together they raised four children. Vic was a WW II US Marine Corp veteran having served in the Pacific.. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Monaca, the Croation Fraternal Union, Aliquippa Croatian Center, Croatian Club of New Brighton and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 580. Vic proudly served for over 40 years as a volunteer fireman with the Monaca VFD #5th Ward station. He was employed as a union carpenter for the majority of his working career. He loved hunting and fishing at his camp which he built in Tionesta.Vic is survived by three children; a son, Nick (Denise) Vular, two daughters; Patty Vular and Michele (John) Kuga, and a brother Matt Vular, six grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Huddy on May 23, 2017, a sister Mary Orzechowski and a brother Joseph Vular.Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, where prayers will be offered on Thursday at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca.
